This is a resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set in 1:72 scale from SBS Model sharpens up the tail defensive barbette of the B-58 Hustler strategic bomber and is made for finishing a plastic model of that machine from the Italeri kit.
The Convair B-58 Hustler was the first American supersonic strategic bomber, with its characteristic delta wing. Its only defensive armament was a remotely controlled rotary cannon housed in the tail of the fuselage. The castings capture the shape of that tail turret faithfully, including the fine detail that injection-molded plastic cannot render.
Wash the parts free of release agent residue first, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting.
