A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model of the Grumman EA-6B Prowler carrier-borne electronic warfare aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The EA-6B Prowler is a carrier-borne electronic warfare aircraft based on the A-6 Intruder bomber series. Compared with it, it has a lengthened nose with four crew positions and carries a prominent teardrop-shaped fairing with the antennas of the jamming equipment on top of the vertical tail. Jamming pods appear under the wing, which change the shape of the aircraft further. It is precisely these features that make the Prowler a rewarding subject, because it differs at first glance from an ordinary carrier aircraft.
This is a set of photo-etched metal parts intended to refine a model in 1:48 scale afterwards. The photo-etched parts replace the places where plastic is necessarily thicker than the real structure and add elements that cannot be produced in a kit. Check the exact list of parts and the kit the set is cut for on the item details and in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are joined to the fret by small tabs; cut them with a sharp blade on a hard surface and do not break them out. Make the folds over a metal rule or in a bender, as a flat part folds better than one already glued in place. It is glued with super glue applied in the smallest of amounts, as cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before painting and use a base coat, otherwise the finish will chip off easily.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
