This set is a 3D printed resin accessory in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. It is not an aircraft model but replacement landing gear wheels with a weighted effect for the early version of the Grumman S-2 Tracker carrier aircraft. The tire sags realistically where it meets the ground.
The Grumman S-2 Tracker was a twin-engine carrier aircraft for anti-submarine warfare, in service with American and allied naval forces for several decades. The rugged landing gear with its large wheels matched the demands of taking off from and landing on a carrier deck. Faithful wheels with a tread pattern move the realism of a model forward.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue, cut off the print supports and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. Separate the hubs and the tires by masking, apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush; turn the sagging area so that it meets the surface.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
