Hawker Hurricane Mk.I – Rotol propeller with a tool, in 1:48 scale is a resin replacement propeller from Quickboost for a model of this British fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from Quickboost brings an exactly cast Rotol propeller for a model of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale, including an assembly tool for putting the blades together and setting them correctly. It is not a kit but a replacement part that will replace the propeller from the box with a more accurate casting with the correct blade section and shape.
The propeller dominates the view of the nose of a model. Some of the Hurricane Mk.I aircraft were driven by a variable-pitch Rotol propeller with broader blades, which differed in shape from the de Havilland propellers. Exactly cast blades with the correct section and angle look more realistic than the parts from the box; the tool supplied makes it easier to set them identically, so that the propeller sits symmetrically and without wobble.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent because of mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks carefully with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Set the blades into the hub using the tool supplied and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bring out the leading edges and the blade tips when painting.
The accessory is supplied as a resin replacement part, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
