A detail set from the Czech maker Aires in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a resin accessory: a complete cockpit set in cast resin complemented by photo-etch. The set replaces the simplified plastic cockpit with a faithful, finely detailed space and is intended for the car door version with the side doors and the framed canopy.
The set refines the cockpit: the seat, the instrument panel, the side consoles and other elements where detail shows best. The Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB was a British fighter-bomber of the Second World War; its earlier car door version was entered through side doors. The set is intended for the plastic kit from Hasegawa. Check the exact contents of the package and the number of parts on the packaging of the set.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash them to remove mold release residue and degrease them. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); count on fine-tuning the fit inside the fuselage. The photo-etched elements are shaped and painted. Wear a respirator when sanding resin.
