An Eduard Big Ed set for the Hurricane Mk. I in 1:48 scale - a bundled package of accessories for the builder of a model of the British fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not an aircraft kit but accessory goods for a model you buy separately. At Eduard, Big Ed is the designation for a bundled package, that is, for an item put together from several individual accessories for one type. Verify the makeup of the particular bundle from the breakdown on the packaging.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk. I was a single-seat fighter aircraft of mixed construction - a truss fuselage covered with fabric and sheet metal, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine. In its armament it carried eight machine guns in the wings. It is the type which in the years of the Battle of Britain made up the numerically largest part of the fighter force of the Royal Air Force and bore the main share of the defensive fighting. Against the Spitfire it was more conservative in its design, but sturdier and easier to repair in field conditions.
Fit the parts of the pilot's compartment before the fuselage is closed up - once it is joined you can no longer reach them. Bend the photo-etched parts in a bender and glue them with super glue applied with the tip of a wire, so that it does not run. With prewar and early wartime British equipment, restrained weathering pays off: the Hurricane was flown hard, true, but fabric covering does not take exaggerated emphasis of the panels, because there are none on it.
