1:48 I-153, three-dimensionally printed and colored interior from Quinta Studio will fill out the cockpit of the Soviet fighter biplane in 1:48 scale. Target kits: ICM and Hasegawa.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Quinta Studio set deals with the cockpit interior of the I-153 biplane and is an accessory for a model already under construction. The aircraft is not in the package. According to the name the elements are three-dimensional and supplied already colored, so the modeler avoids the finest painting in the whole build. On an open type the cockpit is visible all the time, so every simplification shows. The decals are shaped to the parts of the ICM and Hasegawa kits.
The Polikarpov I-153, nicknamed Chaika, was the last developed form of the Soviet line of fighter biplanes. Its hallmark became the upper wing cranked into a gull shape, which opened up the pilot's forward view. Unlike its predecessors it had retractable landing gear and a radial engine of higher power. It still proved itself in combat in the conflict at Khalkhin Gol, but by 1941 it was losing out against contemporary all-metal fighters and moved on to attacking ground targets.
A biplane is finished the moment the struts and the rigging sit right, so complete the cockpit fully before you start on the upper wing. Smooth the surfaces under the elements and clear them of grease. Once the interior is done it is worth suggesting very faint wear on the edges of the seat and on the places where the pilot steps. The remaining steps are given by the manufacturer in the enclosed instructions.
