This is a resin detail accessory, not a standalone model. The set replaces the exhaust stubs on models of the Soviet fighter Polikarpov I-16 in 1:48 scale and brings their shape closer to the real subject.
The Polikarpov I-16 was one of the first production monoplanes with retractable landing gear and a cantilever wing. It was powered by a radial engine and the exhaust stacks projected around the circumference of the short fuselage. Rendering them faithfully is the key to a convincing model.
Suitable for modelers who want to correct the shape and raise the fidelity of a build. Working with resin assumes some basic experience.
