Eduard Il-2 Shturmovik (single-seat) painting masks in 1:48 scale are a set of precisely shaped masks for clean spraying of the cabin glazing and other areas of the model of the Soviet Ilyushin Il-2 ground-attack aircraft in its single-seat version. The model is obtained separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of kabuki painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard for a plastic model in 1:48 scale. The masks are pre-cut and self-adhesive; they follow the glazing frames of the single-seat version and, depending on the scope of the set, other areas including the wheels. They serve for fast, clean masking before paint is sprayed on. It is an accessory: the aircraft model itself is not included and is obtained separately.
The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik was a Soviet ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War with an armored shell of the fuselage protecting the pilot, the engine and the fuel system. The early form was single-seat, without a rear gunner. The Il-2 is among the most widely produced combat aircraft in history.
Transfer the masks onto degreased glazing, press the edges down carefully and cover the remaining areas with masking tape. Apply the paint in fine coats with an airbrush and remove the masks before it has fully dried, so that the edges stay sharp.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The model itself, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
