The Israeli M76 (OR-201) helmet in 1:48 scale, the variant marked as detail, is a small accessory for figures. It replaces or fills out the headgear on a figure of a modern Israeli soldier.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a small accessory for figures, not a kit and not a whole figure either. It brings the Israeli helmet in 1:48 scale in the variant marked with the word detail; the manufacturer also makes a basic version of the same subject and further scales. Which of the two versions you need is not stated here, so check the contents on the box.
The OR-201, carried as the M76 in the name of the item, is an Israeli composite helmet introduced in the middle of the 1970s. It lasted for decades with ground units and is easy to recognize by its rounded shell with a pronounced edge. In period footage it tends to be covered with netting and rubber bands, into which soldiers tucked small items. For a modeler it is one of the most conspicuous marks of a modern Israeli figure.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with detergent, so that no mold release agent is left on the surface. Separate it from the casting block with a fine saw, level the surface with a file and do the sanding preferably wet and with respiratory protection. Use cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for plastic will not join a small part. Before painting apply a thin primer, then the base shade and finally pick out the edges with a drybrush. A fine dark wash will pull out the edge of the shell and the straps.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a figure. Paints, glue and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
