A plastic kit of the Swedish jet fighter aircraft Saab J 29F Tunnan in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The model is injection-molded in polystyrene, offers an engraved panel structure, a detailed cockpit and canopy glazing. The nickname Flying Barrel refers to the characteristically rounded fuselage of the aircraft.
The Saab 29 Tunnan was one of the first Swedish jet fighters. Despite the stubby shape of its fuselage it was a fast and agile machine that served in the fighter as well as the attack role. The J 29F version received an afterburner and a revised wing and could carry guided air-to-air missiles. The type stayed in service until the 1970s.
Finish the cockpit interior before closing the fuselage. Glue the rounded fuselage parts carefully and fill the joints if needed. Apply a primer before painting, spray natural metal as well as camouflage schemes with an airbrush and set the decals on a gloss clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
