Tamiya 1:48 JGSDF Light Armored Vehicle is an injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Japanese wheeled armored vehicle of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.

This plastic kit captures the light wheeled armored vehicle of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). The parts are molded in green and allow the roof hatch to be built open or closed. A figure of the driver in body armor and waterslide decals for faithful markings are included.
The vehicle for the JGSDF is built by the Japanese company Komatsu and reached the units from 2002. It brought an immediate increase in crew protection compared with the vehicles used until then. Besides a 5.56 mm machine gun it can also carry a heavier 12.7 mm machine gun, or anti-tank armament. Compact dimensions and good mobility make it a versatile asset of the modern Japanese army.
Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic. We suggest a base coat of primer and spraying with an airbrush; the modern single-color olive scheme comes alive with gentle accenting of the edges and a light dust shade on the chassis. Consider whether to build the hatch open and use the driver figure.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
