A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks of Japanese kabuki paper tape from the Czech brand New Ware. It is not a kit: it is an accessory with which you cleanly spray the extensive glazing of a model of the Ju 88D-1 in 1:48 scale.
The Ju 88D-1 was the long-range reconnaissance version of the famous Luftwaffe multi-purpose aircraft, and it inherited its characteristic greenhouse, a richly glazed nose and a cabin made up of many small panes. Masking a surface like that by hand takes a whole evening; with pre-cut masks you simply lift the shape off the sheet, lay it on and press it down. The set in the BASIC range covers the basic masking, above all the glazing and the landing gear wheels.
Kabuki tape has low tack, leaves no adhesive residue and, thanks to its paper structure, readily conforms to slightly curved surfaces, yet always press the edges down with a toothpick. Before masking, bathe the clear part in a polishing agent or at least degrease it, and the paint then holds evenly. Spray thin coats and lift the masks off at a sharp angle.
This is a masking accessory for painting; the aircraft kit itself is not included in the package.
