The Ka-27 is a Soviet shipboard helicopter from the Kamov design bureau, with a pair of coaxial contra-rotating rotors and no tail rotor. It is the coaxial layout that gives it the compact dimensions suited to operating from small ship decks. The PL version is meant for anti-submarine work, which means extensive equipment at the operator's station. The cockpit with its large glazing and fittings is therefore a rewarding place on the model to spend detail on.
True up the plastic interior parts, degrease them and test fit everything dry before you seat the first piece. Separate the printed resin parts carefully and level the edges with fine sandpaper. Work in smaller sections and let each step dry. Close the fuselage only at the end, once you have checked that nothing has shifted and that no part keeps the halves from meeting.
