A resin exhaust for the Kawasaki Ki-100 in 1:48 scale by Quickboost. The exhaust stubs of the Japanese fighter; it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail part, not an aircraft kit. This set in finely cast resin replaces the exhaust stubs of the Japanese army fighter Kawasaki Ki-100 in 1:48 scale. This machine came about by fitting the Ki-61 airframe with a radial engine and it was among the best of Japanese fighter equipment at the end of the Second World War. Faithful exhausts markedly lift the look of a model. The part is intended for modelers who want to refine the engine area quickly and accurately.
On a radial engine the exhaust stubs are among the most exposed details and how well they are rendered markedly affects the overall impression. The castings capture both the hollow outlets and the fine shape of the pipework, which is hard to create from solid plastic. Once painted in metallic and rusty shades and lightly weathered, they visually deepen the engine area and give the aircraft credibility in scale.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
