The Aires Kawasaki Ki-61-I Hien cockpit set 1:48 — a resin cockpit set for a detailed rendering of the pilot's compartment of the Japanese Ki-61-I Hien fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin cockpit set from the Czech maker Aires. It replaces the pilot's compartment of a plastic kit with a more faithful and more richly articulated casting that builds in the instrument panel, the cockpit sidewalls, the seat and the controls. It is an accessory for more experienced modelers that is built into a base model of the Kawasaki Ki-61-I Hien aircraft in 1:48 scale.
The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien was a Japanese fighter of the Second World War, known to the Allies by the code name Tony. As one of the few Japanese fighters of its day it used a liquid-cooled V engine, which gave it a slim aerodynamic nose. It was deployed in the Pacific theater.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding resin. Lay down a primer before painting; the details are best brought out by building up layers with a fine brush, and the larger surfaces with an airbrush.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
