This resin accessory contains blanking covers for the air intakes, known as FOD covers, for models of the Aero L-39 Albatros jet trainer in 1:48 scale. On the real aircraft the covers are fitted over the intakes while the machine is parked, so that foreign objects cannot get into the engine. It is not an airplane model but an effective accessory for showing the machine on the ramp or in a diorama.
Cut the covers from the casting block and clean them up. They are fitted over the air intakes and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). They are usually painted in a bright signal color, often with Remove Before Flight lettering, which adds to the authenticity. Protect your breathing when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
