A colored relief 3D decal for detailed upgrading of the cockpit of the Czechoslovak trainer and light attack aircraft Aero L-39ZA Albatros in 1:48 scale. This is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory set from Quinta that replaces the flat plastic cockpit parts with three-dimensional, pre-painted elements. The set is shaped for the Trumpeter plastic kit and contains 3D-printed colored elements on decal backing paper together with smaller 3D-printed resin parts.

Application tips

3D decals are thicker than ordinary decals and have no adhesive layer of their own. Coat the surface with a gloss clear coat of the Future or Tamiya X-22 type, because on a flat surface the element will not hold. Cut the part out, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place; on intricate surfaces a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener, because it damages the printed resin. Clean the small 3D-printed parts free of print resin residue and glue them with cyanoacrylate.
