This is not an aircraft kit but a resin detail set from CMK. It contains a set of precisely cast engine exhaust shrouds that replace the plastic parts from the box and raise the level of detail markedly on a model of the four-engine bomber Avro Lancaster in the Mk.I/III version from the HK Models kit in 1:48 scale.
Cast exhausts have crisper edges, a more faithful shape of the outlet and a finer surface than injection-molded plastic. Once fitted and painted they form one of the most visible details along the engine nacelles.
Wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts first (lukewarm water with detergent). Cut them from the casting blocks with a saw or a sharp knife and clean the surfaces up, ideally with respiratory protection. Bond with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For a realistic look, tone the exhausts in shades of rust, soot and dark metal; pigments and washes work well.
This is an accessory for advanced builders, supplied as resin parts, unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
