This color photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings the seat belts of the crew of the British heavy bomber Avro Lancaster. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for improving the interior. The parts are pre-printed in several colors, so the straps and the buckles look realistic without any need for painting.
Kit belts tend to be flat or missing. Color photo-etch replaces them with fine, shapeable straps that add fidelity to the roomy interior of the Lancaster. The set is prepared for a model of this four-engine bomber in 1:48 scale.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and shape the straps slowly so that they look like slack fabric. The pre-printed belts do not need painting; a fine dark wash in the folds raises the impression of depth. They are glued with a self-adhesive layer or a small drop of cyanoacrylate.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
