A detailed resin set with additional photo-etched parts from the manufacturer Eduard, capturing the Martin-Baker MB.7 ejection seat used in the Lockheed F-104G Starfighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces the plastic seat from the kit with a faithfully made resin part with a high level of detail.
The seat is cast as one piece with faithfully rendered structure, the release handles and the seat belts worked straight into the casting and supplemented by photo-etched parts. It markedly raises the realism of the pilot's space compared with the simplified plastic seat from the box. It is worth checking that the set fits your particular F-104 kit.
Separate the resin parts from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and degrease them; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bend and fix the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate as well. Protect your airways while sanding. Paint the seat, set the belts apart and pick the whole out with a wash before gluing it into the cockpit.
This is an accessory set, not an aircraft model. It is supplied unpainted; the basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
