The second pose of a standing female pilot for a display case with the A-7 Corsair II machine, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A female figure in flight gear, this time in a different stance from the variant designated type 1. The point of two forms is simple: two identical figures side by side give away at once that they come from one mold, whereas different stances create the impression of a conversation or of natural waiting by a machine.
The specification called for a cheap and quick replacement for older attack aircraft, with greater range and load. The designers therefore took a proven airframe and reworked it into a stockier shape with no supersonic ambitions. The resulting aircraft turned out to be an exceptionally enduring workhorse, which stayed in service for decades and flew with its last operators long after its home air arm had retired it.
First rid the figure of grease and apply a thin primer, on which the surface will show as it truly is. Continue with the base tones from the largest surfaces to the smallest, then run in the shadow and finally bring out the highlights. Finish the helmet and the high boots separately, so that the sheen does not carry over onto the fabric. If you are building a pair, match the shades of both figures before fitting them into the display case.
Buying paints and tools is a separate matter.
