This Aires resin ejection seat in 1:48 scale replaces the simplified seat from the box with a faithfully rendered casting with detail of the supporting structure, the straps and the controls. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory intended for a model of the Dassault Mirage 2000C. More experienced modelers who miss a realistic look in the cockpit will appreciate the set.
Martin-Baker ejection seats of the Mk.10 family belong to the modern zero-zero class, that is, they can save a pilot even on the ground with the aircraft standing still. The Mk-10Q variant corresponds to the equipment of the single-seat Dassault Mirage 2000C interceptor, a French supersonic aircraft with a delta wing.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent from the mold. Separate them from the casting blocks by cutting, not by snapping, and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand the resin with respiratory protection or wet. Spray the seat with a base coat, bring out the straps and the padding with a wash and a dry brush and add small color accents on the handles and the placards.
It is supplied as an unglued and unpainted resin set. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
