An add-on set in 1:48 scale: two M272 four-rail launchers for AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank guided missiles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M272 is a four-rail launcher for AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank guided missiles. Each of the rails carries one missile, so a single launcher gives a machine four rounds, and it is hung on the pylons of attack and scout helicopters. The Hellfire itself has been among the most widespread anti-tank weapons of its kind since the 1980s: it homes on a reflected laser beam with which the target is marked from the machine or from a ground station. It is precisely a pair of fully loaded launchers that gives a helicopter model the combat look that a kit alone often does not allow.
Two M272 launchers in 1:48 scale, as the designation in the name states. Whether the package also contains the missiles themselves is given in the manufacturer's instructions and on the package. It is an accessory for a model; you will not build a model on its own from the set.
Ordinary cement for plastic models holds only on polystyrene; with other materials use super glue. Cut the excess material and the traces of production off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down, and wash and degrease the parts before painting. Offer both launchers up dry and measure: they have to hang at the same height, be level and point parallel with the longitudinal axis of the machine, otherwise the model looks crooked when seen from the front. Apply the paint to the parts separately before fitting them, as neither a brush nor a nozzle maneuvers well between the rails.
Paints, glue and modeling tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
