1:48 Macchi MC.200 Saetta (Early), three-dimensionally printed and colored interior from Quinta Studio is the interior fitting for a model of the early form of the Italian fighter. Intended for the Italeri kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Quinta Studio accessory covers the cockpit interior of the Italian MC.200 fighter in the explicitly early version, as the name states. The aircraft is not in the package; the set serves a model already under construction. According to the name the elements are three-dimensional and already colored, so painting the instrument panel and the side panels falls away. The target kit is Italeri.
The Macchi MC.200 Saetta was the first modern monoplane fighter of the Italian Air Force with retractable landing gear and an enclosed cockpit. It was powered by a Fiat radial engine which, although it did not match the power of contemporary inline units, was reliable. The aircraft was marked by excellent handling and earned a reputation among pilots as a machine that forgives mistakes. The early batches differed from the later ones precisely in the arrangement of the cockpit, because the enclosed canopy was unpopular with crews and gradually disappeared from production.
Before you reach for the set, check against photographs which production batch your model corresponds to; on this type the difference between the early and the later cockpit is substantial. Smooth and degrease the surfaces and lay the elements down from the largest to the smallest. Finally unify the interior with a faint darkening of the depths. The recommended procedure is given by the manufacturer in the instructions.
