The New Ware 1:48 Mask F/A-18F Super Hornet BASIC is a self-adhesive mask set in the basic scope for the two-seat standard of the carrier aircraft in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut for the parts of one specific kit, the Hasegawa PT38.

Pre-cut self-adhesive masks for a model in 1:48 scale. The BASIC level means the basic scope of the set, that is the smallest variant, which covers the main masking job during painting. The extended levels of the same range hold more ready-made masks. If all you want is a cleanly sprayed cockpit and you do not need to mask more, the basic level is a sensible choice.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet is the two-seat standard of the twin-engine carrier-borne multirole aircraft. The tandem arrangement of two seats one behind the other lengthens the cockpit and adds frames that the single-seat version does not have. In this respect 1:48 is a rewarding scale: the frames are large enough to be clearly visible on the finished model, yet thin enough to mask badly by hand.
A sprayed frame has a real texture and a color that matches the rest of the aircraft, whereas a decal remains a glossy film with a visible border. Hand-cut tape, in turn, will not keep a constant width, above all on the arcs of the canopy. A pre-cut mask combines the advantages of both: an accurate shape and real sprayed paint.
This is a mask set, not a model. Paints, glue and the plastic kit are not included in the package. Store any unused remainder of the sheet in its original wrapping, out of direct light.
