Injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale capturing the high-speed project version of the Me 262 HG III from Amusing Hobby. It is a new tooling; the parts are laid out on two main sprues and a smaller clear sprue. The cockpit is richly detailed straight from the box, which comes in handy with the well-visible interior of the Me 262.
The abbreviation HG stands for Hochgeschwindigkeit, meaning high speed. These were studies of how to increase the speed of the production Me 262. The HG III version was to receive a markedly swept wing and jet engines moved to the wing root. The project stayed on paper and was not built before the end of the Second World War.
We recommend dry-fitting the parts, using thin cement for plastic and applying a filler primer before painting. Given the visible interior, the cockpit is worth the time. Spray the paint with an airbrush and polish the clear parts with gloss varnish before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
