This set from the Czech maker CMK is not a standalone kit but a detail accessory - precisely cast resin wheels meant to replace the plastic parts on models of the Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter in the A and B versions, in 1:48 scale. The resin castings offer a finer tire tread and a crisper hub drawing than injection-molded parts usually do.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the world's first jet fighter to enter production service, introduced at the very end of the Second World War. The A version was a single-seat fighter, the B version a two-seater (trainer and night fighter). It was powered by two turbojets in nacelles under the wing.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks, clean up the surfaces and use respiratory protection while sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires a flat dark gray and the hubs according to period photographs.
The set contains only the resin wheel parts; it is not a standalone model and contains neither glue nor paints. A matching base plastic kit is needed to use it.
