This is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory. The set brings cast resin exhaust stacks for models of the German Messerschmitt Bf-110G-4 night fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the simplified exhausts from the box with a crisper casting with hollow ends. The manufacturer is the Czech brand Eduard.
The exhausts are among the conspicuous and thermally stressed features of the engine nacelles. The resin castings capture the fine shape of the stacks and the open mouths that are only reproduced with difficulty in injection-molded plastic. Properly painted exhausts markedly raise the realism of the whole machine.
Wash the parts in soapy water, cut off the small casting blocks carefully and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint over a primer with a combination of rusty, metallic and burnt shades; fine-tune the final heat discoloration and soot with a fine pigment and a light wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
