A package of four ammunition feeds for the twenty millimeter MG 151 cannon from AIMS. The number suits installations where the weapons are in a pair, and it is equally enough for two models under construction at the same time. The replacement comes in useful everywhere the inside of the weapon bay is visible after detailing.
The ammunition belt does not run freely from the box to the weapon. It is led through a chute that holds it in line and stops it jamming under load. In an exposed bay it is an element the eye notices sooner than the barrel itself, yet kit molds usually simplify it into a smooth surface or leave it out altogether. Adding it takes a few minutes and the result shows in a photograph as well as in a display case.
First try how much room is left in the bay after the weapon is mounted and thin the walls with a sanding stick if needed. Four parts allow one to be sacrificed for a test of sanding and painting. A combination of a dark metallic shade with a brass tone for the belt looks credible and brings out that these are two different components. A final dark wash settles the shadow between the individual links.
The set deals only with this part of the weapon installation; the other parts stay from the kit.
