A kit of the light multirole Mi-2 helicopter in 1:48 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-2 is a light multirole helicopter of Soviet design whose series production took place in Poland. It differs from its predecessor above all in the powerplant: instead of one piston engine it received two turboshaft engines set above the cabin, which freed up space inside and gained the machine both performance and safety. The main rotor has three blades and the tail rotor two, and the machine stands on a fixed tricycle undercarriage. Besides the armed forces of the Eastern bloc it was also used a great deal by civil operators, serving in training, with rescue services, in agricultural work and as a transport machine for a few passengers.
This is a model in 1:48 scale, the size in which helicopters are built with pleasure: the glazed cabin is large enough to be worth adding anything to, and still the finished model does not take up a whole shelf. The extent of the parts, the possible color finish and the assembly sequence are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The helicopter is largely glazed, so prepare and paint the interior of the cabin before you close the fuselage, because afterwards you will not get in there. Glue the glazing with a glue that will not fog the surface of the windows, a vice that cyanoacrylate does have. Paint the rotor blades separately and fit them right at the very end, otherwise you will be catching on them throughout the build. While the undercarriage dries, stand the model on a flat board so that it rests on all three wheels and does not limp.
Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
