Color 3D interior elements for the Mi-8MT helicopter in 1:48 scale for the Zvezda kit, in the reduced Small version.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-8 is a Soviet twin-engine multipurpose helicopter and one of the most widespread machines of its class in the world. The MT version is one of the later builds with more powerful engines, and it is known for export as the Mi-17. Its roomy cabin and richly detailed flight deck show up well on a model, especially if you leave the doors open.
Color 3D interior elements carried on decal backing paper. The instrument panels, the consoles and the other surfaces are printed with relief, so they have real depth, and they come already painted, dial faces and labels included. The Small version marking indicates a reduced coverage compared with the full set.
The elements sit on a decal backing paper. The sheet is dipped briefly in lukewarm water and the element then slides off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a gloss clear coat, which you apply to the area beforehand; a matte base is a mistake, and do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin. The surface it goes on has to be clean, degreased and smooth, otherwise the element will not seat over its whole area.
For modelers who want the interior finished without painting the instruments by hand. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
