This item is a decal set, that is, a sheet of waterslide markings for a plastic MiG-21 model in 1:48 scale. It is the third part of the Polish series from the manufacturer Model Maker. Neither a model nor any parts are in the package. Check the contents of the sheet against the illustration on the packaging.
The MiG-21 is among the types built again and again in modeling. It has a striking silhouette with a triangular wing, a slender fuselage and a nose air intake with a regulating cone, and at the same time it can be built in 1:48 scale in a sensible amount of time. That is exactly why it pays to have several sheets of markings for it at hand: the basic shape stays, while the surface, the shades and the markings change, and one type becomes a whole display case of different machines.
To keep the edge of the film from showing, you need three things. First, a smooth glossy surface free of grain, that is, well-dried paint and gloss varnish applied in thin layers. Second, an exact cut closely to the printing. And third, patience: let the softener work by itself and do not press the decal or go over it with a brush at that moment, because it is soft and easily damaged. Once it is completely dry, wipe the model with a damp cloth, remove the adhesive and seal it with a matte or semi-matte varnish, according to the surface you want.
The package holds decals only. The kit, the paints and the softener are not supplied with it.
