This is a detailed accessory, not a stand-alone airplane model. The set contains a 3D-printed (PRINT) exhaust nozzle for the fighter aircraft MiG-21F in 1:48 scale from Eduard. The part is intended to replace the plastic nozzle from the base Eduard MiG-21F kit, which is not included in the package. Check the exact package contents against the kit number.
The exhaust nozzle on the MiG-21 is a prominent visible detail, and the plastic part from the box tends to be simplified. The 3D-printed nozzle offers fine detail of the internal petals and combustion chamber, which makes the tail of the model look considerably more convincing once painted. The directly printed part is designed for easy replacement of the corresponding part in the base kit.
First wash the 3D-printed parts free of uncured print resin residue with lukewarm water and dish soap. Carefully cut away any print supports and lightly sand the surfaces — use respiratory protection while sanding. Glue the part with cyanoacrylate (super glue) onto a quality primed surface. Highlight the metallic and sooty shades of the nozzle with wash effects and dry-brushing. Check compatibility with your version of the kit.
