A resin detail set from the Quickboost brand by the firm Aires for models of the Soviet MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter in 1:48 scale. The set brings the landing gear bay doors cast with faithful internal structure and a wall thickness to scale, which is hard to achieve in plastic. It is not an aircraft model but a separate resin accessory.
On a model standing on its gear the open landing gear bays are a place the eye goes to. The resin doors have fine internal ribbing and a thin edge, so they look more faithful than the thicker plastic parts. They are fitted in place of the original doors with the landing gear extended.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean the surfaces up. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and protect your airways when sanding resin. The inner sides of the doors come out best after spraying the matching bay shade and some gentle shading.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
