1:72 decals with Polish national markings, tactical numbers and technical lettering for the MiG-19 fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
Deliveries of the MiG-19 were a turning point for the Polish Air Force, because it was the very first type in the inventory to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The radar-equipped interceptor variants arrived in Poland, among them a rendition that relied on guided missiles instead of cannons. The planned domestic license production never came about in the end, so all the examples came from Soviet lines. They stayed in service until roughly the mid-1970s, when more modern types with greater range took over from them.
The sheet brings Polish national markings, tactical numbers and technical lettering for this type in 1:72 scale. It therefore lets you finish a machine as it looked with a particular unit, instead of in a generic factory appearance. The Polish examples differed from the Soviet ones precisely in their markings alone; the airframe itself stayed unchanged.
In 1:72 scale the technical lettering lies at the limit of visibility. It pays to work with a magnifier and to transfer the elements with a moistened wooden skewer, which, unlike tweezers, will not scratch the surface. Press each piece down afterwards and leave it undisturbed to dry.
Besides a finished model you will need gloss varnish, clean water and absorbent paper. The plastic basis is obtained as a separate item; here you get only the print for a finished airframe. A decal softener is not necessary, but with the smallest lettering it makes settling on curved surfaces easier.
