A set of three-dimensional colored decals from the maker Quinta Studio for detailing the cockpit of a model of the interceptor MiG-31M in 1:48 scale. These are raised parts printed on carrier decal paper which are transferred with water like classic decals, not photo-etched metal or resin.
The MiG-31 (Foxhound in the NATO code) is a heavy supersonic interceptor able to destroy targets at great distances and at great altitudes. The development version MiG-31M brought modernized avionics and a modified, more digitalized cockpit. The tandem arrangement of the pilot and the operator offers a rich interior for detailing.
First coat the cockpit with gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22); the parts have no adhesive layer of their own and will not hold on a matte base. Cut the items out, soak them in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide them off the paper onto the instrument panels and the side consoles of both cockpits; in the relief a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a softener; it damages printed resin. The printing imitates the instruments and the controls; work with sharp tweezers.
The set contains the decals of the interior only. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
