A photo-etched accessory set in 1:48 scale for a model of the Mil Mi-8MT multipurpose helicopter. Metal parts refine the details for which plastic is too coarse.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mil Mi-8 is one of the most widespread multipurpose helicopters of all. It carries cargo and troops, serves in armed forces and in civil operation, and flies to this day. The Mi-8MT version is one of the upgraded lines and it was delivered for export under the designation Mi-17. A model of this machine has large windows and a roomy cabin, so you really can see inside and every detail added in there shows in the result.
Photo-etched metal parts for a model in 1:48 scale. They replace or supplement the features that an injection mold inevitably makes heavier than reality. It is an add-on to a kit; a stand-alone model will not come out of it. The list of parts and their placement is given in the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with it.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and make the cut right at the tab, so that no lug is left on the part. Make the bends over a steel rule or in a bending tool; bend longer strips along their whole length at once, otherwise a wave will appear. Glue with a tiny amount of super glue applied with the tip of a pin. Wash the metal before painting, degrease it and back it with primer. Finish the inside of the cabin before you close up the fuselage and set the glazing in, because after that you will not get inside and any excess glue would fog the windows.
The model, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
