This set from the Ukrainian manufacturer Reskit is a detail accessory, not an airplane model. It replaces the cockpit of the plastic kit of the French Dassault Mirage 2000-5 fighter in 1:48 scale with a more accurate resin part. In the Basic edition version it includes 3D decals that faithfully imitate the instrument panel and the side consoles without laborious hand painting.
The resin cockpit adds fine detail that injection-molded plastic cannot manage - sharper edges on the instruments, a three-dimensional cockpit tub and a more faithful seat. The 3D decals are applied to prepared surfaces and look three-dimensional once dry. The set is made for a plastic model of that type in the same scale.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts and cut off the casting blocks. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use respiratory protection when sanding. Apply the 3D decals to a smooth, degreased surface and seal them with a matte varnish that is compatible with the decal.
The set contains only resin parts and decals, not the plastic model of the aircraft. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
