In kits the lights tend to be treated as a mere raised lump that is then brushed with paint. The result never looks like glass. This item offers a cast replacement on which the impression of a real light fitting can be achieved. The set covers several versions of the Tiger II given in the designation and comes from the Quickboost brand of the Aires group.
Position lights serve to let the traffic around know which way an aircraft is heading. The arrangement is unified worldwide: red shines on one wing half, green on the other and white at the tail. Besides those, machines carry landing and anticollision lights. On the Tiger II these places are clearly apparent thanks to the small dimensions of the airframe, where every detail takes up a relatively larger share of the surface. The procedure that works: polish the part first, then back it with silver paint and only at the end tint it with a transparent shade. A white undercoat would needlessly lighten the color. Apply cyanoacrylate glue in the smallest of quantities and away from the visible surface, because its fumes can fog the finish. Mask the surroundings before you start spraying.
