Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Curtiss Tomahawk IIb fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Academy brand, released as a limited edition focused on the North African theater. The model has an engraved structure of panels and rivets and waterslide decals for several period machines of the Royal Air Force.
Tomahawk was the British designation for the American Curtiss Hawk 81, which in American service carried the designation P-40. The Mk IIb version corresponded roughly to the American P-40C. The aircraft made a strong mark in the desert fighting in North Africa in 1941 and 1942, among others with No. 112 and No. 250 Squadrons of the Royal Air Force. The decals offered in this edition are tied to the machines of successful pilots of the North African campaign.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints. The desert camouflage with its two color areas will stand out with an airbrush and pre-shading. Before applying the decals a gloss clear coat is recommended, and even out the surface with a matte varnish at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
