This is not an aircraft kit but a small detail accessory for a model in 1:48 scale. The LööK set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard aims at a single but very visible spot on the model: the front panel of the cockpit. In plastic kits the instrument panel tends to be handled with suggested relief or a decal, and yet it carries most of the impression of an open cockpit. The replacement part gives the instruments legible depth and sharp edges that injection-molded plastic cannot reach.
The North American Rockwell OV-10A Bronco is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft with twin tail booms and a large glazed tandem cockpit. It was created for observation, fire control and light attack duties and was operated by the US Air Force, the Navy and the Marine Corps. Thanks to the large glazed area the cockpit interior really is visible on a finished model, which makes cockpit detail a rewarding investment on this subject.
Try the part dry first: depending on the kit you may need to sand the mating face of the cockpit tub or shorten the original plastic panel. Work with tweezers over a surface, as small parts like to disappear. Bond in spots with super glue, so that you keep control over the alignment. Finish and close up the cockpit before you glue the fuselage halves together. At the end, a fine wash into the recesses and a matte coat help so that the panel does not look flat, along with a drop of clear varnish on the dials if you want to imitate the instrument glasses.
