This set of waterslide decals in 1:48 from the Czech publisher DK Decals is aimed at the Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter and its export variant, the P-400. It is not a kit but a decal sheet with several color schemes, which widens the marking options beyond the contents of a kit box.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter with an unusual layout in which the engine was placed behind the pilot and the propeller driven by a long shaft. That made it possible to fit a powerful cannon in the nose and to use nosewheel landing gear. Airacobras made their mark above all with the Soviet Air Force, where they were valued in the role of a low and medium altitude fighter.
Apply the decals onto a gloss varnish, which will prevent silvering. A softening solution will help large decals settle onto the surface and into the engraved lines. Once dry, overcoat the model with a protective varnish at the degree of gloss you want.
