The set brings resin landing gear doors for the P-40 Warhawk fighter kit in 1:48 scale. The thin castings have a faithful thickness and well-rendered inner faces, which with the landing gear exposed looks more realistic than the thicker plastic parts. This is not an airplane model but a detail accessory.
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American fighter of the Second World War, deployed on many fronts and known for the prominent chin with the radiator under the engine. The landing gear doors are clearly visible on a model with the landing gear lowered.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up; protect your airways when sanding. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the inner faces of the doors to match the real aircraft and, if you like, pick them out with a wash and a fine patina.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
