A set for the Curtiss P-40N in 1:48 scale with six brass barrels. The films cover the glazing from both sides and one mask for the national insignia is enclosed.

The N version was the most produced of the whole family and came out of an effort to make up for the growing weight. The first blocks therefore lost two machine guns, part of the armor and one fuel tank and were given lightened wheels. Customers did not accept the lightening, however, and from the N-5 block the armament returned to six weapons. It is this later form that the number of barrels in the package corresponds to.
The contents are listed briefly: six brass barrels, masking of the glazing on both sides and one mask for the insignia. A comparison with the other variant of the same subject is instructive, because that one contains three masks, that is two more. Moving to this item means a gain in metal but at the same time a loss in film.
The difference between the two sets lies exclusively in the turned parts; it is not a fuller package as a whole. Anyone planning to spray all the markings through masks should therefore count on having to cut the two remaining ones himself or to use decals. The decision is that simple: if you want a perfect leading edge, take the metal. If you want to save work on the insignia, reach for the variant without it.
