A resin detail set, not an airplane model. This resin set from Aires in 1:48 scale brings the landing gear bays of the American Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter. It replaces the shallow or empty bays from the box with a faithfully rendered structure of bracing, piping and wiring. The set is intended for experienced modelers; the base kit has to be bought separately.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was a massive American single-seat fighter and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War with a powerful radial engine and eight heavy machine guns. It was one of the largest single-engine fighters of its day. Its wing landing gear bays had a rich internal structure, which the resin casting captures precisely.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
