A replacement pilot's seat for the P-47D Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale, made in quality 3D printing from resin by the Czech manufacturer Art Scale. The seat comes without seat belts, so you can add the belts of your own choosing (etched parts, fabric belts or your own solution). It is a detail accessory for making the cockpit more accurate, not a whole model.
In an open cockpit the seat is one of the most conspicuous features. A faithfully printed resin replacement with thin walls and a clean shape looks more realistic than the coarser part from the kit and makes a rewarding basis for painting and weathering the interior.
Wash the part, separate it from the print supports and clean it up gently, with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the seat in the interior shade of the real aircraft, bring the edges out with a dry brush and add a wash; glue the belts on separately for the full effect.
This is an accessory for a plastic model, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints, belts and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
