Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for a plastic model of the American North American P-51D Mustang fighter. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The North American P-51D Mustang is an American fighter of the Second World War powered by a liquid-cooled V12 engine. The D version was given the bubble canopy with an all-round view and a cut-down fuselage spine. Thanks to its long range with drop tanks it escorted bombers deep over Germany and is among the most significant fighters of its time.
Degrease the glazing of the bubble canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and on the sliding bubble section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle so as not to disturb the fresh layer.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
