British Freight Cars

British Freight Cars, a paint set for British freight cars

A set of acrylic modeling paints from the AMMO of Mig Jimenez brand, from the Rail Center railway line. It is not a kit or an add-on to a model but paints in bottles put together around a single subject, namely British freight cars. The advantage of such a set is purely practical: the shades that recur on that type of wagon are together and you do not have to assemble them one bottle at a time.

Contents of the package

With sets the make-up changes between issues, so check the number of bottles, their volume and the names of the individual shades on the box. These are acrylic paints from AMMO of Mig Jimenez from the Rail Center railway line and the subject of the set is British freight cars.

Use

• Shake the bottles properly before every use: the pigment settles to the bottom and unshaken paint covers unevenly.
• Apply in thin coats so that you do not clog the engraved detail of planks, rivets and the frames of the wagon.
• On smooth plastic, acrylic holds markedly better over a base coat than directly on the material.
• Prepare a gloss surface before the decals, and after the decals and the weathering blend the whole wagon with a flat or semi-flat clear coat.
• Freight wagons take a lot of weathering: dust from the track, rust on the running gear and traces of the load will turn a clean model into a working one.

Who the set is for

For layout modelers and collectors of railway models who want a color palette for one subject together in one place. It also serves well as a gift for someone who is only starting out in railway modeling and does not yet have a stock of shades.

Store the paints in well-closed bottles at room temperature and out of the reach of children. When spraying, ventilate and protect your airways.
