1:48 P-51D Late - 3D printed color decals of the interior (Airfix) from Quinta Studio will refine the cockpit of the Mustang without photo-etched parts and without hand painting the instruments.
Responsibility details are not available.
The elements of the set are 3D printed on decal paper and are supplied already in color, so you detail the interior without masking and spraying small surfaces. The set takes the place of photo-etched parts and resin accessories alike and is cut for the Airfix kit in 1:48 scale. The designation Late distinguishes this set from the variant for the early forms of the same model.
The North American P-51D Mustang is a single-seat fighter with a liquid-cooled V12 engine and a bubble canopy, thanks to which the pilot had a view in every direction. It is precisely because of this canopy that the interior is very well seen on a finished model and belongs among the first things a viewer notices. In the late phase of the war the Mustang came into its own mainly as a long-range escort fighter.
The elements are transferred onto a cleaned surface coated with gloss varnish, to which they conform once they adhere. The element that has been cut out is laid in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds and slid off the carrier paper; the manufacturer prohibits a softener and a setting solution, as they would damage the printed resin layer. Unify the base with a darker shade, work with tweezers and finish the interior before you glue the fuselage together. With a bubble canopy it pays to smooth the surfaces under the decal thoroughly.
It is an accessory for detailing, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
